Homemade Pesto (Dairy Free, Nut Free)

Hello, hello, hello!! I am so excited to share my new and improved pesto recipe with my community! I spent all last summer perfectly this recipe and so I am so excited to finally share it with you all, after I have tested it once again to make sure that it has the perfect balance of basil, garlic, extra virgin olive oil and spices included! HOMEMADE PESTO RECIPE

Ingredients:

8 oz fresh basil

2 oz fresh arugula

1 tbsp freshly pressed or minced garlic

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp black pepper

1 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

In a blender or a food processor, add in all of the ingredients!

Blend!

Be aware that you can totally add in more extra virgin olive oil if you like your pesto to be more liquidy, as opposed to creamy! That part is totally up to you but starting with 1/4 cup will give you a great starting point to build off of!
