Lemon-Dill Grilled Salmon

I have been wanting to make this grilled salmon recipe for so long. It has been on my list of things to make and share with you guys for probably over a year, since my love for grilling sparked during Summer 2020. I know Summer 2020, such a taboo summer, how dare I even bring it up!

So I finally made it, a year later, and it is UNREAL! The real trick is that you need to have a wooden plank to cook the salmon inside the grill. I’ve tried using a pan and a disposable wire grill rack covered int foil and I can confidently say that this dish tastes best when you use the wooden plank method.

To prepare, you’ll need to soak your wooden plank in water for at least 10-15 minutes before you put it on the grill. For obvious reasons, but I’ll explain them anyway. The plank needs to be soaked so that it doesn’t set on fire in the grill. I repeat, the plank needs to be soaked so that it doesn’t set on fire in the grill.

Okay, great. Now that that’s covered, let’s get to the good stuff.

As far as ingredients go, as always, I go for Organic or Farm Raised items but buy what ever you have access to or what works best for you!

Lemon-Dill Grilled Salmon

Ingredients

1 lb. Salmon ( I used Sustainably Farm Raised from WF)

2 lemons, sliced

3 springs of dill, fresh

3 springs of parsley, fresh

1/2 tsp sea salt

2 tsp Za’atar seasoning

Directions

Soak your wooden plank in water for 10-15 minutes.

Start by seasoning your salmon with salt and za’atar.

Spread lemon slices over top of the salmon. I highly recommend doing the entire two lemons because the juice from the lemons will help the salmon stay moist while it cooks, especially since there is no olive oil in this recipe.

Top with herbs.

Transfer to wooden plank.

Heat grill to 425-450 degrees.

Grill salmon for 15 minutes or until fully cooked and flakey.

Enjoy loves!
